Until the day this happened, I'd never have believed anyone who said being smart is better then being strong.
I was in the high school locker room changing into my normal cloths after gym class at the end of the day. I was eavesdropping on a conversation as I changed. One of the other students were picking on an Autistic kid who goes to my school. Not thinking, when I heard the kid say something rude to the autistic kid, and I mumbled something under my breath that I knew would lead to a problem. This other kid wasn't smart but he is bigger then me, plus I prefer to avoid confrontation, and respond in an angry voice, ""What did you just say!?""
Me: Yes.
Him: Huh?
Me: Exactly!
Him: What did you say!
Me: yeah.
Then I turned to my friend next to me and said ""You get it don't you?"" and he said ""Yes."". At this point I was sure I was going to get in a fight. I turned back to the other guy and said ""He gets it!""
Him: ?
Me: Right!
Him: What are you talking about?
Me: Correct!
Then instead of getting up and fighting, he stared at me for a moment, then continued about his business. With a good choice of words, and some clever acting, I confused him to the point someone bigger, meaner, and stronger, wouldn't lay a hand on me.
